The BaByliss Professional Nail Care System can be used on natural and acrylic nails. It is cord/cordless, has two speeds and comes complete with 6 attachments (1 pointed stone and 1 coneshaped callus remover, a filing disc, 1 buffing disc, 1 smoothing disc and a fan attachment for quick drying of nails). The set includes also 4 professional accessories (scissors, nail clippers, toe-nail clippers and cuticle pusher). Instructions for Use Charging The BaByliss Professional Nail Care System should be charged using only the charger supplied. Ensure that the switch on the handle is in the "off " position, marked "0". Connect the appliance to the charger by inserting the small plug at the end of the charger lead into the corresponding socket in the end of the handle. Plug the charger into the mains wall socket. Allow the handle to charge for 16 hours. To preserve the longest possible life of the rechargeable cells (up to 1000 charges), it is better not to leave the appliance on charge for more than 24 consecutive hours. Corded use · Ensure that the handle is switched off. · Insert the small plug at the end of the charger lead into the corresponding socket in the end of the handle. Plug the charger into the mains wall socket. Wait for one minute, then switch on. Important! Do not use the appliance in this mode for more than 20 minutes. Fitting the attachments (NB unit must be switched off ) To fit any attachment onto the appliance, insert the small pin of the attachment into the corresponding hole on top of the appliance and push down firmly. To remove, simply pull the attachment up and away from the top of the appliance. 1. manicure (see fig.1) · Soak your hands in warm soapy water then dry them thoroughly. · If necessary use the smaller nail clippers or the nail scissors to cut your nails in the desired shape. · Use the pointed end of the cuticle shaper to carefully clean under free edge. (d) Shaping (see fig. 2, some typical nail shapes) · Select and fit the filing disc (3). Set to speed II and using soft circular movements gently press the free edge of the nail against the filing disc. · Finish at speed I to smooth the filed edges of each nail. · Using the rounded end of the cuticle shaper, gently ease the cuticles (a) away from the nail plate (e), taking care not to tear the nail wall (c). · Areas of unwanted rough or hard skin may be reduced using the detail file (1). Set speed I at first, then speed II to increase effectiveness. The side of the detail file may be used to carefully remove areas of hard skin beside the nail wall (c). · In some cases, where ridges and furrows are present on the nail plate, it may be desirable on occasion to use the buffing disc (4) to gently and carefully reduce the unevenness. Polishing Place a small amount of polishing cream on the nail plate, avoiding the cuticle. Select and fit smoothing disc (4) and polish on speed I for a maximum of 15 seconds per nail.. 2. Pedicure (see fig. 4) · Soak your feet for 5 minutes in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. · Separate the toes, either using a roll of cotton wool plaited between the toes, or with sponge separators. · If necessary use the large nail clippers to cut your nails. Shaping · Using the filing disc on speed II shape the toe nail. The most desirable shape for toe nails (d) is for them to be filed straight across. · If necessary, reduce to speed I to finish off the shape, and to smooth the edge. · Calluses and any other areas of unwanted rough or hard skin may be reduced using the callus remover. Start with a test on speed I before a more efficient treatment on speed II. · In some cases, where ridges and furrows are present on the nail plate, it may be desirable on occasion to use the buffing disc to reduce the unevenness. Polishing Proceed as for fingers (see "Polishing" section) Important: always use the BaByliss Professional Nail Care System on the lower speed setting first and then move to the higher setting if needed. 3. Using the fan attachment · The fan attachment can be used for quicker drying of the varnish. · After the application of varnish, place the appliance (with fan attachment) at about 20cm distance from your fingers. Your varnish will be dry in seconds. European and UK IB instruction for NiMH Battery 1. Charging the Appliance Before using the Appliance for the first time, charge continuously for 16 hours. Maximum battery capacity will only be reached after several charging/discharging cycles. 2. Preserving the batteries In order to maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the appliance has to be fully discharged (by Appliance/ trimmer) every 6 months approximately. Then recharge the Appliance to full capacity for about 16 hours. 3.Ni-MH Batteries Removal This appliance has Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries. In an effort to protect the environment, these batteries should be removed and properly disposed of when the unit is no longer operating. To remove the battery block for disposal or recovery, follow these instructions: 1. First, unplug the appliance and break the housing. 2. Open the appliance and remove the batteries using wire cutters. 3. To protect the environment, do not dispose of your batteries with your ordinary household waste. FRANÇAIS COFFRET DE MANICURE/PEDICURE PROFESSIONNEL Le coffret de manucure/pédicure de BaByliss est un set de beauté des ongles complet pour des résultats professionnels. Il peut être utilisé sur des ongles naturels ou artificiels. Il est utilisable avec ou sans fil, possède 2 vitesses et 6 accessoires interchangeables (1 fraise fine et 1 fraise conique, 1 disque lime, 1 disque polissoir et 1 disque brillance et un accessoire pour sécher le vernis). Le coffret comprend également 4 outils professionnels (ciseaux avec bout arrondi, coupe-ongle manucure, coupe-ongle pédicure et repousse cuticules). INSTRUCTIONS Charge Utiliser uniquement le chargeur livré avec l'appareil. Placer l'interrupteur en position d'arrêt (0). Enfoncer la fiche du chargeur dans l'alvéole à la base de l'appareil en respectant le positionnement de la nervure. Brancher le chargeur sur le secteur après s'être assuré qu'il est bien adapté à la tension du réseau. Une charge complète est obtenue en 16 heures. Afin d'assurer la longévité des batteries (environ 1000 recharges), il est conseillé de débrancher le chargeur après au maximum 24 heures. Utilisation sur secteur S'assurer que l'appareil est en position "0". Enfoncer la fiche du chargeur dans l'alvéole à la base de l'appareil en respectant le positionnement de la nervure. Brancher le chargeur sur le secteur. Attendre une minute avant d'allumer l'appareil. Important! Ne pas utiliser pendant plus de 20 minutes en continu. Placer les accessoires (NB.: l'appareil doit être éteint) Pour placer un accessoire sur l'appareil, insérer l'embout de l'accessoire dans le trou correspondant sur la tête de l'appareil et pousser fermement. Pour l'enlever, tirer simplement l'accessoire hors de la tête de l'appareil. 1. Manucure (voir fig.1) · Tremper les mains dans de l'eau tiède savonneuse puis les sécher soigneusement. · Si nécessaire, utiliser le coupe-ongles manucure ou les ciseaux pour tailler les ongles suivant la forme voulue. · Utiliser la partie pointue du repousse peau pour nettoyer le dessous du bord libre (d). Mise en forme (voir fig. 2, quelques formes classiques) · Fixer le disque lime. Sélectionner la vitesse II et effectuer des mouvements tournants en appuyant très légèrement l'ongle sur l'abrasif. · Terminer en vitesse I pour adoucir le contour. · A l'aide de la partie arrondie du repousse-peau, repousser les cuticules (a) de la plaque de l'ongle (e), en prenant soin de ne pas endommager le flanc de l'ongle (c). · Durillons et callosités peuvent être atténués à l'aide de la fraise fine (1). Utiliser d'abord la vitesse I pour déterminer le mouvement à imprimer puis la vitesse II pour accroître l'efficacité. Les peaux dures près du flanc de l'ongle (c) peuvent être éliminées à l'aide de la fraise fine. · Les sillons de la plaque de l'ongle (e) peuvent être éliminés à l'aide du disque polissoir (4). Polissage Etendre une couche minime de crème à polire sur la plaque de l'ongle en évitant la cuticule. Fixer le disque polissoir (4) et polir en vitesse I pendant maximum 15 secondes par ongle. 2. PEDICURE (voir FIG. 4) · Tremper les pieds dans de l'eau tiède savonneuse pendant 5 minutes et les sécher. · Ecarter les orteils les uns des autres à l'aide, de rouleaux de coton ou de séparateurs en mousse. · Si nécessaire, utiliser le coupe-ongles pédicure pour tailler les ongles. Mise en forme · Raccourcir les ongles au moyen du disque lime, en vitesse II. La forme la plus adaptée du bord libre (d) est la ligne droite. · Si nécessaire, terminer en vitesse I pour affiner la forme et adoucir les contours. · Les callosités, durillons ou cors peuvent être traités à l'aide de la fraise conique. Commencer par un essai en vitesse I avant un traitement plus franc en vitesse II. · Les sillons de la plaque de l'ongle (c) peuvent être éliminés à l'aide du disque polissoir. Polissage Procéder de la même manière que pour les ongles (voir "Polissage"). Important! Toujours commencer à travailler en vitesse I et passer ensuite à la vitesse II si nécessaire. 3. Accessoire pour séchage du vernis · Cet accessoire permet de sécher le vernis rapidement. · Après avoir appliqué votre vernis, placer l'appareil (avec l'accessoire séchage) à une distance d'environ 20 cm des ongles. Le vernis sèche en quelques secondes. Informations importantes concernant la batterie NiMH de cet appareil 1. Charger l'appareil Avant d'utiliser l'appareil pour la première fois, il doit être chargé sans interruption pendant 16 heures. Plusieurs cycles de charge/décharge permettront à la batterie d'atteindre sa capacité maximale. 2. Préserver la batterie Pour maintenir la capacité optimale des batteries rechargeables, il est conseillé de décharger complètement l'appareil tous les 6 mois environ. L'appareil sera ensuite rechargé à pleine capacité, à nouveau pendant 16 heures. 3. Retrait de la batterie NiMH Cette tondeuse possède une batterie hybride nickel-métal. Pour protéger l'environnement, cette batterie doit être retirée et éliminée correctement lorsque cet appareil ne fonctionne plus.
